Frequently Asked Questions

I love to read (LOVE LOVE LOVE TO READ….and feel free to consider that screaming) and while some of you out there would rather get to the nitty gritty of the situation, here’s some handy frequently asked questions that I ehem stole from the past.

Aren’t you that chick from Diary Of A Chunky Chica?
Yup, that’d me be. Once upon a time I was the blogger formerly known as “Chunky Chica.” While I’d love to say I let that blog go for super personal (tear jerking) reasons, I have to admit I was simply lazy and broke. And spending $700 to buy back my domain wasn’t an option. BTW, I’m cheap as hell!

Why do you blog
Well, you could probably ask all weight loss bloggers out there and I’d bet 95% of them would say “to keep me accountable.” And boy isn’t that the truth. It does keep me accountable, admitting my weight to the whole webbie world. Plus I love writing, absolutely love it! But I’m not ashamed to admit that I love to be the center of attention too.

How much do you weigh?
The highest weight I know for certain is 264 pounds. I know it was more than that thanks to a quick nod from a nurse, but I never wanted to know the number. You can keep track of my progress if you zip on over here.

What is your goal weight?
That is yet to be determined. Cue dramatic music. I know I want to be healthy, does that answer work?

How tall are you?
5’7″ and on a good day I’m 5’8″

Why counting calories?
It just makes sense to me. I never understood the points, no carbs, no sugar, yada yada yada. Counting calories isn’t a fad diet. It’s something that I can do for the rest of my life. And it’s free. No monthly membership!!! Did I mention I’m cheap?

What do I need to start losing weight?
Don’t think you need to immediately start a blog, join a gym, and stop eating the nectar of the gods (sugar). The top three things you need to lose weight are motivation, inspiration, and the know-how

So you know everything there is about losing weight?
Ok, I haven’t actually ever been asked this… but I do want to point out that I am no expert. Awkward disclaimer I’m NOT a doctor. I don’t have a fancy MD from a fancy expensive school. I’m not a professional nutritionist or dietician. And I’m definitely not a weight loss expert. Everything I write about is my personal opinion and trial/error attempts to make my own life healthier!
